Each bio below could easily begin with “the most incredible guitarist you have ever heard”. We have been very fortunate to create instruments for these brilliant artists. Each instrument was crafted to their very specific requirements.
Zakk Wylde
Loucin Guitars is proud to announce that we are creating a custom Loucin guitar for Black Label Society founder and former Ozzy Osbourne lead guitarist, Zakk Wylde!! His guitar will be based on the Loucin LD model with some signature customizations that you will have to see to believe. Follow us on Facebook. Phil X
Phil is the secret weapon behind the awesome sound you hear on albums by Daughtry, Tommy Lee, Methods of Mayhem, Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne, Adam Lambert, Rob Zombie and many, many others. He has also toured with Aldo Nova, Frozen Ghost, Triumph and has his own band “The Drills” who perform regularly in the LA area. Recently he made rock history by filling in for Ritchie Sambora of Bon Jovi for the second half of the North American tour! There aren’t too many people on this planet that could step in and fill those shoes and do such an amazing job. If you get a chance to see him play live, it will change your life! Jason Hook
Jason is the lead guitarist in Five Finger Death Punch. He has also recorded and toured with Alice Cooper, Vince Neil and many others. His technique is drenched with incredible feel and picking precision beyond comprehension. He is a perfectionist in the most positive sense of the word and worked closely with us every step of the way as we created his custom AD-100 Baritone guitar.

Dave Grohl
Dave is a musical genius and can play pretty much any instrument. His transition from drums to guitar was seamless. We are hand-crafting a curly Maple full-bodied LD model with Sitka Spruce top (bear-claw) for him. The neck will be curly Maple (5 piece) with an ebony fretboard. This beauty will be adorned with Paua Abalone purfling/ebony binding around both the front and back.
Serj Tankian
Serj is the front-man and song writing force behind System of a Down. When we learned that Serj shared the same Armenian background as Loucin Founder Garren Dakessian, we wanted to create a custom guitar for him that was international like Tankian, a Lebanese-born Armenian residing in Southern California and New Zealand. We chose a tonal wood native to California: Curly Claro Walnut for the back and sides, Canadian Sitka Spruce (bear-claw) for the top, and for the appointments around the perimeter and on the headstock, Paua Abalone shell from New Zealand. The result was just like his music – spectacular, original and with lots of depth and character.

Rob Tardik
Rob is an incredibly versatile guitarist. He has made his mark on the smooth jazz world and was voted 2010 Canadian Smooth Jazz Guitarist of the Year. Also in 2007 won the Mississauga Established Performing Artist of the Year award joining the likes of Jazz legend Oscar Peterson and Triumph’s Rik Emmett. Rob’s work can be heard on his successful debut CD “Without Words” followed by “Right Time”. He is currently in the studio recording his third CD, BELL (Balance, Energy, Laughter, Love). Rob took time out of his busy schedule to write and record the sound bytes on our “GUITARS” page – thanks Rob! We are excited to be hand-crafting him a custom LD this summer (Hawaiian Koa and Sitka Spruce, SS cut-away & “the slant” arm-rest).
